Follower growth rate shows as a percentage how fast your account is growing. Knowing the rate lets you plan ahead and see whether a content change is working.

How is follower growth rate calculated?

(Followers at end of month − followers at start of month) ÷ followers at start of month × 100. For example, if you had 2,000 followers at the start of the month and 2,300 at the end, your monthly growth rate is 15%.

Compound growth

When you grow at the same rate every month, growth compounds: 10% monthly growth triples your followers in a year. The tool shows this effect month by month in the 12-month table.

What's a normal growth rate?

  • For small accounts (under 10K), 5–15% per month is a good pace.
  • For large accounts, even 1–3% is considered healthy.
  • Use the net value to account for followers you've lost.
